Why: Disabled/Displaced(Lexie’s Law) awards are available for students with a state approved disability(ies) or children who have been through the Arizona state foster care system. Students must be in grades Kindergarten -12 who have a public school IEP, MET OR 504 plan, as well as preschoolers who have a public school IEP or MET OR have been in the Arizona foster care system (K-12 only).
Tax credit companies have many types of applications. If the child has an IEP/MET and has been in a public or charter for 90 days (any 90 days does not matter what part of the prior year) in the prior school year they will qualify for the Disabled/Displaced application.
